YS Jagan Directs Party MPs To Voice Special Status Demand In Parliament

“Our only agenda in Parliament should be Special Category Status,” Jagan told the MPs - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday urged the party MPs to voice the people's demand for Special Category Status in the Budget Session. The session is scheduled to begin on January 31.

Giving direction to the MPs at the YSRCP Parliamentary Party meeting here, YS Jagan said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is misleading people in the name of special package which is of no use to the state. Emphasising the need for special category status, he said no package will be equivalant to it. "Our only agenda in Parliament should be Special Category Status," Jagan told the MPs and asked them to pressurise the Centre to fulfill the demand.

YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy said there is no legal sanctity to special package and the Centre as well as CM are only deceiving people with this. MPs Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, Varaprasad, YV Subba Reddy, V. Vijayasai Reddy and Butta Renuka attended.
