Why Chandrababu doesn’t visit the Guntur TDP office?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu never tires of exhorting the party men to be committed and work with determination. He wants them to be available to the people always. But, he himself never practices what he preaches. He is never available to the party workers at the headquarters in Guntur. In fact, he never visits the Guntur office of the party.

“The CM has no time for this office. He has visited the Guntur office but twice during the last three years. The first time he visited this office was when NTR statue was unveiled here. The second time, he participated in the Panchanga Sravanam. He never held a party meeting here,” a party worker from Guntur said. The party workers are disappointed, he added.

During his nine-year stint as the CM, Chandrababu used to visit NTR Trust Bhavan at least thrice a week. But, now, he is disinclined to visit the Guntur office. He does not meet the party workers and gets all the feedback from the intelligence sources.

A section of the party believes that Chandrababu’s refusal to visit the Guntur office has got to do with Vaastu. He feels the building is not Vaastu compliant and would bring bad luck to him if he visited the place. He even changed the entry gate of the building. He also reportedly consulted several Vastu experts to ward off the ‘evil.’

With Chief Minister himself not showing interest in meeting the party cadre, the Ministers and other senior leaders too have turned complacent and are not bothered to visit the party office. As a result, the office looks deserted. All this is demoralizing the cadres.

A party source said that the effect of all this will be seen in the coming elections.
