Three right things KCR is doing!

Come June 2, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will transform himself from an angry agitator to an astute administrator. It's now brass-tacks time for KCR. He has several important tasks on hand. Here are the three most important political tasks that KCR must accomplish.

WIN GHMC: He has to win the GHMC elections, which are likely to be held sometime in November-December. Coming as they are within six months of assuming power, they would be seen as the first mid-course assessment of KCR's performance. The BJP and TDP have together won 10 seats in the GHMC area. Both are organisationally strong and can give KCR a run for his money. KCR has got just two MLA seats in the region. To offset this that the KCR is reaching out to the MIM. Though the MIM would not be joining the KCR government, they would align with him for the upcoming GHMC polls and give the much-needed strength to the TRS.

WIN EMPLOYEES' CONFIDENCE: Another smart move of KCR is to strongly defend the employees of the Telangana region on the issue of apportioning of Secretarial staff between the two emerging states. Instead of soft-peddling the issue, he chose

to get aggressive. KCR knows fully well that his TRS couldn't have sustained the Telangana agitation without the support and active participation of the Telangana employees. This move makes him stronger and guarantees the employees’ support to him. The employee support is critical to the success of KCR’s regime.

GROOMING KTR: Who negotiated with Asadduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi? Who organised the KCR-MIM entente? Of course KTR. Who will be attending the swearing-in of Narendra Modi at Delhi on May 26? KTR again. KTR is the emissary to Modi and MIM. Grooming his son for a bigger role is going to be the icing on KCR’s cake.
