Students NIT Dreams Shattered As TSBIE Delays IPASE Results

Hyderabad: Delay in releasing Intermediate public advance supplementary examinations (IPASE) results by the TSBIE can strip off intermediate students from securing a seat in engineering colleges.

Although many have secured ranks in the JEE-Mains exam, they are worried that that might lose the opportunity to get admissions in institutes due to the delay in announcing supplementary results and issuing certificates.

A student who is eligible for a computer science seat in NIT, Delhi and had attended counselling at University of Hyderabad on Friday told a leading daily that he was sent back saying his candidature cannot be accepted without the intermediate marks memo.

Another student who is eligible for mechanical engineering in but is stuck echoed the same sentiment.

While some students said they have submit the memo by July 2, the TSBIE said that the results will be declared by the first week of July.

An official of TSBIE said that keeping admissions in mind, the Board is trying to release the memo as soon as possible.

Academicians have lambasted the board saying that issuing marks memo was the board’s responsibility, and students must not suffer for it.
