Hyderabad: In what could be a dangerous sign for the security of the Telugu States, movement of three Maoists in city's Moul Ali area has raised security concerns.

The police arrested three women Naxals--Anusha, Annapurna and Bhavani, on Tuesday. It may be recalled that the three were taken into custody by the Visakhapatnam police on Sunday over their suspicious movements.

According to the police, the three Maoists had been booked under several cases at the Paderu police station in the past. The police is currently investigating the three, along with another youth, Karra Nageshwar Rao.

Meanwhile, the police is suspecting the involvement of the three in the brutal death of Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA Somu in Visakhapatnam district. While further details are awaited, the police firmly believe that the three were also involved in several encounters led by key Naxal leader Ramakrishna (RK).

As per sources, Anusha, among the ones who were arrested, was a commander in the Naxal ranks. The police department is on high alert in the context of the arrest.
