KTR, Get Ready For Political Sanyas: V Hanumantha Rao

Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary V Hanumantha Rao today expressed confidence over the victory of the Congress-led people's alliance in the December 7 polls, if senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi were to campaign in the State. My campaign activity will be focussed mainly on the alliance's win in Yadagirigutta, Vemulawada and Sircilla constituencies, he announced.

Addressing media here today, he said that he would campaign for all the alliance partners. Asked about the dissenting leaders in the Congress who were disappointed with denial of tickets, he said that the representatives from the Central screening committee would persuade them. The dissenting leaders should all be united with the party and work for the alliance's victory, he urged.

"The party will provide the leaders who missed out on tickets the nominated and MLC posts. How will TRS leader KTR, who changed the party's Nampally candidate after announcing Anand Goud's name, reiterate his words after criticizing the Congress for selling tickets?" he asked.

Recalling that the people of KTR's Sircilla constituency were subjected to third degree torture in police station in the Nerella incident, the Congress leader warned KTR to get ready for taking political Sanyas (retirement). Last week, KTR announced he would retire from politics if the TRS does not form government in the December 7 elections.
