KCR A Pawn In Modi’s Hands: Ponnala Lakshmaiah

Senior Congress leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah - Sakshi Post

Jangaon: Former Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Ponnala Lakshmaiah today demanded to know the reason why the State Assembly was dissolved and why caretaker Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was eager to go in for early polls. Saying that KCR's Federal Front idea was a passing cloud, he predicted that the people of the State to would out-rightly reject him.

Speaking to media here today, he said that it was not fair to make unethical comments against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. "Why did you (KCR) join hands with the TDP in 2009? You are criticizing us for the same reason now. Are you even human?" he attacked KCR.

Labelling KCR's comments as unfortunate and an indication of his unethical practices, Lakshmaiah recalled that the TRS won 10 seats in 2009 due to its alliance with the TDP. He criticized KCR for staging a political drama after he was denied a ministerial post in TDP government.

"KCR came to power as a result of his fake protests. Rather than idle talk in his farm house, KCR should speak on the development done in the State. The TRS Chief is acting at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi due to his involvement in the ED, Passport and Sahara cases," he added.

The senior Congress leader alleged that KCR turned the financially surplus State into a debt-ridden State. KCR was responsible for the high cement rates in the State, he mentioned.
