Relatives Fight Over Properties, Body Left To Decay For 3 Days

Warangal: Property disputes among the relatives have a deprived a dead woman of the final rites. For the past three days, the body was kept unattended with just her infant son sitting besides it.

This bizarre incident occurred in Dantalapalli in Mahabubnagar district. Sunitha (30), a resident of Dantalapalli stayed with her infant son Achyuth in her maternal home as her husband K Naresh Reddy was mentally unsound. She suffered ailment and died three days ago.

After her death, her parents and relatives demanded that Naresh Reddy's assets be transferred on Achyut's name. But, Naresh Reddy's brother refused to transfer the assets. With this dispute raging between the two groups, the body was left to decay and decompose for the last three days. Achyut alone has been staying with the body. Some locals are offering food to the body as none of the relatives were owning up the boy.
