Radical Islamic Body Darsgah Jehad O Shahadat Secretary, 4 Others Held in Fake Certificates Scam

Hyderabad: Five persons, including three attenders from Osmania University, were arrested on Sunday for producing a fake educational certificate. The main accused Shaik Abdullah is on run and police are trying to track him down.

The incident came to light on February 18 when Controller of the Examination branch M.Kumar visited Electronic Data Processing (EDP) unit and noticed a list of transcripts.

Kumar found Abdullah’s transcripts were prepared without verification of the application, as he had no records in the engineering course for which he had a ‘degree’ in.

Abdullah is working in Jeddah as an engineer by securing a fake educational degree. When the authorities in Jeddah wanted transcripts of his certificates, he sought his brother and advocate Shaik Saifullah to get them from the Osmania University

Saifullah was helped by OU outsourcing employees - G. Santhosh Reddy, T. Ramesh, C. Aravindkumar and M. Ramu by charging Rs 2 lakh.

East Zone DCP Dr V. Ravinder said that Abdullah and Saifullah are sons of Shaik Mahaboob Ali, former president of the Darsgah-e-Jihad-o-Shahdadat (DJS). The organization DJS trains Muslims youths in self-defence and holds protests on December 6 every year.
