Protesters put up posters to ridicule Babu on Telangana issue

Pro-Telangana activists found a novel way to show their ire at TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu for not revealing his stand on the Telangana issue when he entered Kulacharla Madal during his padayatra on Saturday.

There were no protestors disrupting meetings or stone throwing by activists, but posters were pasted on walls of building along the route – which proclaimed Babu as a betrayer of the Telangana cause. They even distributed pamphlets in many places.

Some of the posters said 'Chandrababu Telangana Drohi' (Babu is a cheat). Some posters decried Babu’s yatra saying that it was only aimed at gaining votes and coming back to power, while people were sacrificing their lives for a separate state.

Chandra Babu had to face the wrath of pro-Telangana activists earlier. He was greeted with black flags and slogans of ‘Babu go back’ at Devarakadra a few weeks ago.

Last week a group of people disrupted his meeting at Koilakuntla in Palamuru mandal of Mahabubnagar district.  The activist and TDP workers also came to blows there and police had to intervene to restore peace.
