2 dead, 10 hurts in separate road accidents

Two young men were killed on the spot when a APSRTC bus rammed into their motorcycle on the national highway near Kottapeta Mandal in Mahabubnagar District on Saturday evening.

The police said the two persons were returning home from work and were killed on the spot when the bus knocked them down.

As the news spread, hundreds of people rushed to the spot and blocked the road for sometime throwing the traffic out of gear. The driver of the bus fled the spot.

In an other accident, ten persons were injured in a head-on collision between the bus and a lorry at Devarakadra village in the same district.  All the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
