OMG: Rahul Gandhi Redefines Size Of Earth, Stuns PM Modi, Adani, India

Rahul Gandhi has landed himself in another controversy. Known for making outlandish statements, the Congress president in waiting stretched it a bit too far this time at a election rally in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. As part of his high-octane campaigning Rahul Gandhi alleged at a massive public rally that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gifted Rs 45,000 crore acres to Adani, the well-known industrialist.

The Congress scion seemed to be unaware of the implications of his statement. As it turns out, random google search reveals total area of planet earth to be 510.1 million km which could roughly be converted into 51 crore km.

It is obvious that Rahul Gandhi tends to get carried away by the intensity of electioneering especially with the buzz that the Congress is in a neck and neck race with the BJP, according to some pollsters. However, he has not been able to get his facts right often in the heat of the campaign and hence, these oopsy, foot-in-the-mouth moments.
