No Fee Hike for PG Courses for 3 Years: TS Govt

Hyderabad: Telangana State government took a decision to maintaining the same fee structures for the Post Graduate professional courses and B.Ed as well for the next three years. The government turned down the request by managements of private colleges for a 10-20 percent hike.
As the suspense on the fees of PG courses was cleared on Tuesday, the ICET counseling dates for the admission of MBA and MCA courses have been announced. The ICET Convener said the candidates can now exercise web options from September 7 to 9 and the allotment list will be announced on September 12.
The fee structures for the PG professional courses in convener quota for the next three years are: MBA: Rs. 27,000 in 293 colleges; PG Engineering courses: Rs. 57,000 - Rs. 1,51,000 (Depending upon facilities in colleges); M.Pharmacy: Rs. 1,00,000 per year; B.Ed courses: Rs. 16,000 per year.
Meanwhile, the private college managements have decided to challenge the decision of the state government through the legal route to get the fee hike.
