MP Avinash Reddy Gets Fresh Summons from CBI

Hyderabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy, has once again summoned MP YS Avinash Reddy to probe further in the case. Issuing fresh summons, the premier investigating agency has asked him to appear before it at its Hyderabad office at 11 am on Tuesday.
The central probe agency had questioned the Lok Sabha member Avinash Reddy in April. The Telangana High Court had asked the CBI not to arrest Reddy while directing him to cooperate with the probe agency.
The high court will now take up the hearing on the anticipatory bail of Avinash Reddy on June 5. The court has been closed for summer vacation till June 2, 2023. MP YS Avinash Reddy had filed the anticipatory bail plea in the High Court ahead of appearing before the CBI on April 17, 2023.
