Chiranjeevi Oxygen Bank in Bhadrachalam

Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust created Chiranjeevi Oxygen Bank at Bhadrachalam to meet the needs of tribals and others in the district's agency villages. The Chiranjeevi Foundation was started by Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi has recently opened an oxygen bank in Khammam. On Friday, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dr Vineeth G opened the Chiranjeevi Oxygen Bank at the Indian Red Cross Society premises.

The ASP said that during the Covid-19 outbreak, the oxygen bank would be extremely important for tribals and those living in and around Bhadrachalam. Appreciating actor Chiranjeevi's services, he added that tribals travelling to Bhadrachalam for treatment from border areas in neighbouring Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh would benefit from the facility.

The trust has provided a total of 25 cylinders and five oxygen concentrators which would be free of charge for Covid patients, according to the oxygen bank organizers Tallapudi Ramu and S Srinivas Rao.

They thanked Chiranjeevi for his charitable work and for organizing blood donation drives for the agency's employees on a monthly basis, and they urged residents to take advantage of the facility.

Red Cross members Raja Reddy, Y Suryanarayana, P Durga Prasad, and others including IMA president Dr Sudarshan participated in the event.
