ICC T20 World Cup 2021 In UAE?

 - Sakshi Post

The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will be held in India in October and November of this year. However, due to the present coronavirus pandemic prevalent in the country, India as a potential host country for the main event seems to be doubtful. COVID-19's second wave has wreaked devastation across the country.

Due to a large number of cases, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was obliged to postpone the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The BCCI, on the other hand, has requested additional time from the ICC before making a definitive decision on whether India will continue to host the T20 World Cup or not.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) is on the lookout for a suitable venue for the forthcoming T20 tournament. In the same vein, Oman Cricket has been asked by the cricketing organization to host part of the T20 World Cup matches.

The ICC has already selected the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a stand-by host, but they are also searching for other choices because they do not want to endanger the league members. The T20 World Cup was supposed to take place last year, but it was pushed back because of COVID-19. In the same frame, the BCCI held IPL 2020 in the UAE.

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be hosted in the UAE due to the coronavirus issue in India, according to Pakistan Cricket Board head Ehsan Mani. Due to the monsoon season in India in September-October, BCCI stated last month that the remaining season of IPL 2021 will be played in the UAE.
