BRS Eyes Hat-Trick in Telangana Assembly Elections, KTR Says Party Will Win 100 Seats

 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Bharata Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working President and Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday exuded confidence that his party would win 90-100 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.

KTR made these remarks during a press conference in Hyderabad. He asserted that the BRS would form the government for the third time in Telangana. The BRS leader said the MLAs who have performed well in their respective constituencies would be given priority in the seat allocation process.

Taking on both Congress and BJP,  KTR questioned their ability to name their respective Chief Ministerial candidates. He also came down heavily on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said he should switch his political career with an NGO job.

Sircilla MLA further said the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre has failed on multiple fronts and questioned the rationale behind the demonetization, the introduction of Rs 2000 notes, and the subsequent cancellation of those notes.

KTR said his latest tour had generated employment opportunities for 42,000 people. He also sought to clarify on the controversy over the Outer Ring Road (ORR) tender process and said that it had been conducted in a manner similar to that of National Highway tenders.

The Telangana Minister also said that his argument on Centre’s planned delimitation of Lok Sabha seats after 2026 should be seen as a debate between South India versus North India. Southern states, which had contributed significantly to the progress of the country, should not be neglected, he added.
