Mass Jathara OTT: Streaming Troubles for Ravi Teja Film?

 - Sakshi Post

Tollywood star Ravi Teja’s latest film, Mass Jathara, is hitting more trouble than expected. The action entertainer failed to meet expectations at the box office and is now struggling to lock an OTT deal, sending alarm bells through industry circles.

The film, directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu and co-starring Sreeleela, reportedly earned under Rs.20 crore in its theatrical run. With this latest flop marking his fourth consecutive commercial disaster, Ravi Teja’s market value appears to be taking a hit. Insiders say platforms like Netflix are hesitating to pick up the rights, and the producers are now engaged in damage-control mode, exploring other streaming options at much lower rates than originally planned.

One source from the production team confirmed that while negotiations with Netflix continue, offers have been underwhelming. The urgent need to recoup losses means the film may be sold painfully below expectations just to close the books. This comes at a time when Ravi Teja was relying on a hit to reverse a streak of failed projects, and Mass Jathara’s underperformance has left minimal room for error.

For Ravi Teja, who once dominated the mass-hero market, this adds pressure on his next venture to restore confidence. For now, Mass Jathara’s delayed OTT release acts as a public symbol of the film’s troubled journey, showing that even big stars aren’t immune to changing audience demands and strict platform economics.
