IAS, IPS Officers Can Keep Gifts Given By Foreign Dignitaries: Govt

The Centre has stated that IAS and IPS officers are allowed to keep presents from foreign dignitaries.
The Centre has amended a 50-year-old regulation to enable IAS, IPS, and IFoS officials to keep presents from foreign dignitaries while serving on the Indian delegation.
Officers can receive presents from family or friends who have no official relations with them, according to the current guidelines. If the value of such donations reaches ₹25,000, however, it must be reported.
