COVID Cases On The Rise In These 30 Districts Of India

Thirty districts in the country have seen an increase in coronavirus cases in the last two weeks, with ten in Kerala, seven in Andhra Pradesh, three in Karnataka, and one in Tamil Nadu, stated the Centre on Wednesday.

Bengaluru (Urban), which has 1,49,241 cases, is followed by Chennai, which has 38,379 cases, said Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry.

Agarwal addressed a press conference in New Delhi, said that the number of cases in the East Godavari, Chittoor, Srikakulam, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Anantpur, and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh had also increased.

In Kerala, for the past two weeks, the number of cases in Kozhikode, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Alappuzha, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, and Kollam districts has continued to increase.

He said that, in addition to Bengaluru (Urban), Mysuru, and Tumakuru districts in Karnataka. Solapur and Satara districts in Maharashtra have seen a spike in cases in the last two weeks.

Agarwal said that in the north, the number of cases has increased in the last two weeks in Haryana's Gurugram and Faridabad districts, as well as Uttarakhand's Dehradun district. In Madhya Pradesh, Indore and Bhopal have also seen an increase in the number of Covid cases.

He added that the central government is working with these states to control the infection.
