Paagal Review, Rating: Vishwak Sen Movie is One Time Watch

 - Sakshi Post

Cast: Viswak Sen, Nivetha

Director: Naresh Kuppili

Producer: Bekkem Venugopal

Release Date: August 14, 2021

Plot: Prem (Vishwak Sen) loses his mother in childhood. Prem’s mother always taught him that if you love people, they will always love you back. Prem blindly goes by his mom’s words. Prem's only mission is to fall in love with a girl. He proposes to a couple of girls, but they reject him after a certain point of time. Prem gets depressed as everyone rejects him. But when he decides to end his life, Nivetha Pethuraj  (Teera) falls in love with him. She comes across as prem's soulmate in the film.

They both love each other, but there is a hitch—Teera is already engaged to another person. She doesn't want to hurt her father (Murali Sharma), who adopts her. Teera also lost her parents during Childhood, she wants to fulfill her adopted father's wish by marrying whoever he chooses. Will Teera and Prem get married after convincing Murali Sharma? What are the problems they face during the process forms the rest of the story.

Performance: Vishwak Sen lived in his character, he has given his best to the character he has played. He aced the emotional scenes well, dialogue delivery is good. A majority of the second half will revolve around Nivetha Pethuraj and Vishwak. Nivetha steals the show in the second half. She makes everyone sit up and take notice. The other character artists like Rahul Ramakrishna, Mahesh Achanta, Indraja Shankar, and a few others do justice to their characters.

Analysis: Paagal is directed by debutante Naresh Kuppili and produced by Bekkem Venugopal. The director does a fantastic job of narrating the story, but he fails to tell the exact point of the story. If the Director had made the screenplay crisp without stretching it too much, the film would have been a worthy watch. Bhumika gets minimal screen space in the film, if the filmmaker had included flashback scenes involving her in the second half, the movie would have garnered some interest. He has written comedy scenes and some of the dialogues really well.

Plus Points:

Lead actor's performance

Comedy

BGM

Minus Points:

The screenplay is all mixed up
