Proposed Hyd-Mumbai Bullet Train To Reduce Distance From 14 Hrs To 3 Hrs - Sakshi Post

The proposed Hyd-Mumbai bullet train will cut the distance between the two cities from 14 to 3 hours.

On the proposed Bullet Train, Mumbai is only three hours away from Hyderabad.

Hyd-Mumbai Bullet Train: Imagine being able to travel from Hyderabad to Mumbai in under three hours. This may be feasible in the not-too-distant future. According to NHSRC Deputy General Manager NK Patil, the Centre plans to introduce a bullet train between Hyderabad and Mumbai, which will decrease travel time between the two cities from 14 hours to three hours. The authorities have already developed a feasibility report, and a survey between the two cities is currently ongoing.

A typical train journey from Hyderabad to Mumbai would take 14 hours to cover the approximately 650-kilometre route. However, the bullet train, also known as the Mumbai-Hyderabad High-Speed Rail, may just take three hours.

According to reports, residents in Maharashtra's Thane district were told on Monday about the proposed Mumbai–Hyderabad High-Speed Rail or bullet train project, which is presently being evaluated for viability.

According to a National High-Speed Train Corporation (NHSRC) official, if approved, the high-speed rail route will connect Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad through 11 stations in Maharashtra and Telangana.

In the presence of Thane Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition) Prashant Suryavanshi and other authorities, NHSRC deputy general manager N K Patil gave a thorough presentation on the project.

The whole 649.76-kilometre path, he informed the conference, will be a green corridor. The work on the DPR (Detailed Project Report) is currently in progress.

The proposed project has 10 stations, including Thane, Navi Mumbai, Lonavala, Pune, Baramati, Pandharpur, Solapur, Gulbarga, Vikarabad, and Hyderabad. Thane, Raigad, Pune, and Solapur would be served by the train route. In the Thane area, a total of 1200 hectares of land would be required.
