Suriya's Karuppu Box Office Collection: 147 Crore in 3 Days

Karuppu, which released three days ago, has emerged as a massive comeback vehicle for Suriya, with the star reclaiming his box-office dominance in style. Fans have been celebrating the film’s strong theatrical run, as it successfully wrapped up a solid first weekend.

The makers officially announced that Karuppu grossed a whopping Rs. 147 crore worldwide during its opening weekend, making it the biggest opening ever for a Suriya film. Trade circles expect the momentum to continue on Monday as advance bookings remain impressive across key centres.

Directed by RJ Balaji, the mass entertainer stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. The film features music composed by Sai Abhyankkar and is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. In Telugu, the movie has been released under the title Veerabhadrudu.
