November 14 School Holiday or not?

As of now, November 14, 2025, will be a holiday for schools in select states, while most others will function as usual. The closures are mainly due to Bihar election counting and severe air pollution in Delhi-NCR.
In Bihar, schools located near polling and counting stations will remain closed on November 14 to ensure a smooth and safe counting process. The Election Commission has confirmed that schools used as polling or counting centres will stay shut for the day.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and parts of Haryana, schools continue under GRAP-III restrictions due to poor air quality. Classes up to grade 5 are being conducted in hybrid mode, allowing parents to choose between online or offline learning. Outdoor activities and assemblies remain suspended to protect children from hazardous air conditions.
In other states, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha, schools are open as usual, as the weather has improved after Cyclone Montha.
To sum up, November 14 is not a nationwide school holiday, but schools in poll-bound Bihar and pollution-affected Delhi-NCR will remain closed or function online. Parents and students are advised to check official school WhatsApp groups or local notices for the latest updates.
