Hyderabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) postponed the questioning of Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy in Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy's case to Tuesday evening as his petition for anticipatory bail was being heard by the Telangana High Court.

The CBI on Monday had directed Avinash Reddy to appear before the CBI regional office at 10.30 a.m., postponed the hearing on the suggestion of the High Court. The agency had earlier deferred the MP's questioning on Monday in view of the hearing. Before the court orders, the CBI issued a separate notice to Avinash Reddy under Section 160 CrPC asking him to appear before it on April 18 at 10.30 am.

Avinash Reddy said an attempt was being made to implicate him in the case based on Google takeout. In the anticipatory bail petition filed in the court, Avinash Reddy contended that Google Takeout data was not accurate technology that could be relied upon  and that the CBI was attempting to falsely implicate him in the crime.

The High Court was hearing the arguments of counsels of Avinash Reddy, CBI, and Vivekananda Reddy's daughter Suneetha Reddy, who has impleaded in the case. The hearing was postponed to 2:30 pm.
