 - Sakshi Post

The Women Ayurveda Parishad Conference (WAPCON–2026), supported by the Department of AYUSH, was held as the first national-level conference of the Women Ayurveda Parishad.

The theme of WAPCON–2026, “Swastha Nari – Sashakta Bharath”, highlighted the belief that a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong nation. Speakers at the conference underlined the important role women play as leaders in families and society, while also pointing out the unique health challenges they face.

The conference focused on how women’s health has a direct impact on future generations and overall social stability. By giving priority to women’s well-being, the event aimed to encourage better education outcomes, improve economic productivity, and build stronger, more resilient communities.

Ayurveda practitioners, academicians, students and policymakers took part in the conference. They discussed ways to address health barriers faced by women, strengthen preventive healthcare, and integrate traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern medical systems.

Organisers said WAPCON–2026 aims to promote a healthier, more inclusive and empowered Bharath by placing women’s health at the centre of national development.
