TDP Candidate: Balakrishna Loses Cool, Assaults Selfie-Seeking Fan
Even before hitting the campaign trail, TDP’s Hindupur legislator and popular Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is widely known as Balayya, has been making headlines for the wrong reasons. The actor, who has a reputation for losing his temper in public and resorting to physical aggression, was involved in another unsavory incident.
During a recent visit to the Sathya Sai district on Saturday morning, Balakrishna, the TDP's assembly candidate, slapped a fan who had approached him to take a selfie. The TDP leader had arrived in Kadiri by helicopter to kick off his election bus tour. As he landed, enthusiastic fans crowded around him jostling to get a glimpse of the famous actor-politician.
One over enthusiastic fan pushed through to get close enough for a selfie. Balakrishna apparently lost his cool when he was mobbed by the admirers. Visibly agitated, the TDP candidate slapped the selfie-seeking fan. Subsequently, the party leaders shoved the fan away from the actor-politician. The entire incident was captured on camera and has since gone viral across social media platforms.
