Long time KCR loyalist is GHMC mayor, Fasiuddin gets dy Mayor post

The TRS has decided to reward long time TRS loyalist and young leader from Charlapally Bontu Rammohan with the GHMC mayor's post. With TRS certain of bagging both Mayor and the deputy mayoral posts given the massive mandate it got in the recent polls, the party has decided to give deputy mayor's post to Baba Fasiuddin, who won on TRS ticket from the Borabanda division.

This is the first time that a Muslim has been made a deputy mayor by a secular party in three decades.
On Thursday morning, the TRS corporators met Municipal Affairs Minister and chief architect of the TRS victory in GHMC polls KTR at Telangana Bhavan. At the meeting, Minister Jagadish Reddy proposed the names of Rammohan and Baba Fasiuddin and all corporators unanimously supported them.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said the corporators must live up to the expectations of the people, who gave a historic mandate in favour of the TRS. Later, all the corporators left for the GHMC headquarters for the swearing in.
