Krishna in court for cheque bounce case

A case was filed against producer Singanamala Ramesh for issuing an invalid cheque to the tune of Rs. 2.80 crores to Tollywood actor G Krishna. Krishna is a veteran Telugu actor and the father of Tollywood hero Mahesh Babu.

The senior actor filed a case against the producer after the bank told him about the bounced cheque. The case was heard at a special magistrate court in Ranga Reddy District on Saturday.

The couple—Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala attended the court hearing. However, the producer failed to show up with his counsel arguing that his client Singanamala would appear before the court if Singanamala is given security.

During the hearing, Krishna's counsel told the court that they were open for a compromise if the producer returned the money he owed them. The court posted further hearing in the case to January 19.
