West Godavari: 3 kids among 6 dead in road mishap

In a gruesome incident, six persons were killed on the spot including three children, while another suffered injuries when a lorry rammed into an auto-rickshaw near Ponguturu village of Koyyelagudem mandal in West Godavari on Sunday.

The deceased include—a four-month-old baby, one-and-half-year-old baby and a seven-year-old girl. All six passengers, hailing from Ponuturu were returning to their homes when the mishap occurred.

According to reports, the auto driver was rushed to a nearby hospital and his condition is said to be critical.

The lorry has been seized, while the police is on the lookout to nab the driver, who is absconding.
