Karanam-Gottipati Clash Gives Sleepless Nights To Chandrababu Naidu

On Friday, Balaram and Gottipati groups fought pitched battle at a party meeting - Sakshi Post

Internecine squabbles are putting Telugu Desam chief in a spot of bother. In most places, new entrants into the party are facing stiff opposition from the old-timers. In Prakasam district's Addanki constituency, a bitter battle for supremacy is going on between party MLC Karanam Balaram and MLA Gotiipati Ravikumar, who defected from the YSRCP.

On Friday, Balaram and Gottipati groups fought pitched battle at a party meeting. They flung chairs at one another and abused each other in unprintable languages. Even the MLA and the MLC picked up chairs to attack each other. All this happened in the presence of Ministers Paritala Sunitha, P Narayana and Siddha Raghava Rao. Several ruling party MLAs were also present.

Chandrababu Naidu has taken a serious view of the scuffle at Addanki and at a meeting of the party at Amaravati, he said such incidents were tarnishing the image of the party. He said he was trying to give respectable position to every leader. He said he would not tolerate such incidents and would initiate strict action against those at fault.
