Warangal: The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s recent visit to Warangal seems to bring good prospects to the town. His promises to make Warangal an educational hub might be a reality very soon as prestigious schools of Hyderabad are all set to open their branches here.

The first school to announce their branch in Warangal is the esteemed Hyderabad Public School.

Speaking to reporters here, the Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari announced on Tuesday that HPS, one of the most celebrated educational institutions running since the Jagirdar era will start a new branch in the Warangal district from next year. He added HPS will call for admissions from LKG to Class V for the 2016-17 academic year soon.

The school which has two campuses in Hyderabad will set up its own facilities on an 18 acre campus at Rampur to be allotted to the HPS Society by the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. The state government has sanctioned Rs 15 crore to the HPS society for the school building construction, Srihari added.

Srihari also informed about the commencement of courses in the veterinary and agricultural colleges in the district from next academic year. The government has identified 120 acres for the Veterinary College at the Mamnoor village and another 120 acres for the agricultural college at Mulug crossroads.

Delhi Public School is another prominent school in talks with the government to set up a Warangal campus.
