Govt to open three cancer hospitals in AP

Three cancer hospitals would be established at Vijayawada, Nellore and Kurnool. 

Adressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam on Thursday, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas said that all government hospitals will get modern facilities with funds provided by the Centre.

The minister also said that the health sector in the state was adversely affected due to the bifurcation of the state as all the super speciality hospitals, both government and private, were established in Hyderabad for last three decades.

The minister said that the state government has also proposed to set up super speciality hospitals in all 13 districts across the state, while all district hospitals would be provided with latest medical equipment and sufficient medical and paramedical staff.
