Anushka Rejected Arundhati Sequel Over  Wedding Date Clash?  

The gorgeous Anushka Shetty was last seen on the big screen in 'Bhaagamathie' which was a critically acclaimed and became a commercial hit at the box office. Post 'Bhaagamthie', Anushka hasn't announced any future project but she is on board 'Sye Raa' and 'Silence' which are in different stages of production. Earlier, Anushka used to read scripts when her films were on floors. Now, she is choosing to do one film in a year.

The actress always wants to stay away from the limelight yet she manages to grab headlines.

Even though Anushka isn't doing back-to-back movies like before she is still one of the most sought-after actresses in Tollywood. Let's take you all back a bit. Anushka made her debut in Telugu with 'Super' where she played the second female lead opposite Nagarjuna.

Though her performance was appreciated she couldn't gain stardom or recognition instantly. Everything changed for Anushka Shetty after her movie 'Arundhati' which was a major hit in her career. On top of it all, it was a movie with a strong woman character in which she was the hero. She not only proved her mettle but also proved that she could carry the movie on her shoulders alone. Anushka thus became the first choice of filmmakers for female-centric movies.

Latest we hear is that 'Arundhati' sequel is on cards, the makers are believed to have met Anushka Shetty and narrated the script to her. It is being said that Anushka Shetty rejected the sequel. And as per latest buzz, Anushka’s reason for rejecting the movie is because 'Arundhati' sequel dates clashes with Anushka wedding date. There is no official information why Anushka rejected the movie but her decision on the breakthrough movie has raised many eyebrows and set tongues wagging on social media. Looks like Anushka Shetty’s marriage with her prince charming as speculated is for real. Else, why would she reject a movie like Arundati which brought her so much fame?

There is also a possibility that she refused to work in the movie as she didn’t find the script impressive enough. We are sure Anushka knows what’s best for her career and acts accordingly.

According to reports, Payal Rajput who rose to fame with 'RX100' is being considered to play Anushka’s role in Arundati. She would be seen as the female lead in Arundhati sequel.
