Akkineni Nagarjuna Not Keen On ANR Biopic?

Nagarjuna - Sakshi Post

Biopics of legendary actors seem to be the flavour of the season and they are ruling the box office. On one side, NTR's biopic which features Balakrishna in lead role is set for a grand release on January 9 across the globe. At the time of NTR's biopic launch, questions were raised about ANR biopic. However, Akkineni Nagarjuna, the grandson of legendary actor ANR is not keen on making his father's biopic or showcase his father's life on celluloid.

We all know that ANR had a great career going for him besides the massive female fan following. His career graph in movies was steady was never down. He reportedly never faced failures during his course of movies. My father is a very successful actor. I am not keen on turning his life into a movie, he is believed to have remarked.

When a question was asked to Sumanth if he was willing to reprise the role of ANR in a biopic if it is on cards or Naga Chaitanya will pull off his grand father's role easily. Actor Sumanth is believed to have said that Nagarjuna has to take a final decision on ANR biopic. We will just adhere to his words as he is the head of our family. Till date, we never had a conversation about my grandfather's biopic. If Nagarjuna says okay to ANR biopic, then it could go on floors.

Nagarjuna's last movie with his father was Manam which was a colossal hit at the box office. Three generations of Akkineni family were seen in Manam which also featured Nagarjuna's daughter-in-law Samantha as the female lead opposite Chaitanya. It remains to be seen whether Nagarjuna will become strong enough to give his nod to the ANR biopic to appease Akkineni fans.
