Chennai: Tamil actor Simbu and director Mani Ratnam tasted success at the Box Office after several of their films did not fare well. With the release of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (Nawab in Telugu), fans of Simbu are on cloud nine. Simbu entertained the audience in the role of an arms dealer in Serbia in the film. Ever since the release of the film on September 27, the fans have been in festive mood. The theatre organisers in Tamil Nadu had to make arrangements like early morning shows for Simbu fans.

A fan of Simbu took his craze for the star actor to the next level by hooking himself to a crane and hanging from it. In a video that is going viral at the moment, the fan, who is believed to be a native of Vellore in the State, is seen pouring milk at Simbu's statue doing the 'Paalabhishekam'. While the fan was hanging from the crane, a group of other fans are seen cheering him in the video.
