Man Molests College Girl In Inebriated State

Ahmedabad: In a case campus violence, a drunken youth went on rampage destroying properties and also molested a woman at LD Arts College campus in Ahmedabad on Friday. He was later arrested in three separate complaints filed against him.

The accused, 22-year-old, Mohan Desai attacked college principal Girish Puranik and also destroyed properties in the principal's office for allegedly not giving admissions to the candidates whom he 'referred'.

He later accosted a woman near the canteen for laughing. When the girl asked what was wrong with him, he suddenly pulled her down by her hair and started beating her. The girl began wailing painfully as the Desai molested her. When her friend tried to intervene, she too was manhandled by Desai.

Police inspector of Gujarat University police station, H B Patel said Desai was a history sheeter and was booked for assault and damage to property, molestation and also under prohibition law.

“There were three earlier cases of assault filed against him, including one in Ellisbridge and two in the jurisdiction of Gujarat University police between 2016 and 2017. After these, he was externed from the city," Patel was quoted saying by a daily.
