Lovers Hang Themselves Off A Tree In Medak

Medak: A couple hung themselves to death on the same tree in a forest area close to Jhansi Lingapur in Ramayampet. Nalla Balesh and Mohammad Farwina aged 21 and 19 respectively were in love, said the police. Fearing rejection from their parents, the couple had fled their houses. When the villagers set out to look for them they found them hanging off the tree dead.

Balesh is the son of Narasimhulu and a resident of Jhansi Lingapur. He worked for a general store while Farwina worked at a tailoring unit in the same village. Noticing their closeness the parents of the boy warned him against moving around or being together. Upset by this and expecting no further support from the family, Balesh and Farwina took the decision to resort to suicide. A case has been registered and an inquiry has been on.

In a similar incident, a couple from Hyderabad had attempted suicide at Tank Bund, but were saved by the local police. They had been seen together on Valentine’s day at the Kandlakoya Oxygen Park in Medchal on Thursday following which the boy was made to tie a thread representing a mangalsutra to the girl by Bajrang Dal activists. This disturbed the couple and they resorted to suicide.
