Husband’s Relatives Gangrape Gujarat Woman Fleeing With Boyfriend, 7 Held

Ahmedabad: A woman attempting to flee a village with the man she was in love with, was gangraped by 5 men, all relatives of her husband, who caught the couple and then resorted to the heinous crime. They also the shocking act and when they uploaded a video of the incident, it came to the notice of police who arrested the perpetrators, 7 in all.

The horrific incident took place in a village near Ahmedabad in Gujarat. A married woman from the village of Nanikraj near here fell in love with a young man, with whom she planned to elope, leaving her husband and children.

When some of her husband's relatives got wind of their attempt, they intercepted the two and attacked them. After thrashing both of them, they cut the woman's hair as punishment. Worse was to follow.

Five of the mentook turns to rape the woman. They also filmed the reprehensible act and uploaded on social media. With the video going viral, police swung into action and arrested Maniben Bhabor, Rakesh Bhabor, Rajesh Bhabor, Bharat Mavi, Dinesh Parmar, Narsingh Mavi and Sailesh Baria.
