Woman Maoist Involved In MLA Killing, Shot Dead In Police Firing

Visakhapatnam: A woman Maoist was killed in police firing near Penasapatti in Basamangi. The accused Jilani Begam alias Meena is the wife of Gajarla Ravi. She was involved in the murder case of MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma, said the police. In the encounter, Meena died, while Jayanti, Geetha, Radhika and Rajasekhar were arrested.

Meena hails from Khanapur, Warangal district and joined the Maoists many years ago. News of Meena death reached Khanpur, as well.
