His Only Crime Was His Caste And He Paid A Heavy Price With His Life

Hyderabad: The Moghalpura police arrested four people on Saturday who were allegedly involved in the murder of a 24-year-old man, Rajesh on August 20.

G Raju (65), G Sandeep (30), M Praveen Kumar (27) and G Srikanth (28) were identified as suspects who carried out the crime. According to the police, the victim was in love with Raju's daughter and also Sandeep's sister. The suspects opposed the alliance as he was from a different caste, the police said.

On August 20, Rajesh was invited to Raju's home by Praveen and Srikanth. The four reportedly thrashed Rajesh by punching him on his face and stomach. His head was hit hard against a wall and Rajesh was seriously injured.

Later, Rajesh was shifted to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment on August 21. Based on a complaint lodged by Rajesh's mother, police arrested the suspects. They would be produced in the court and remanded to custody for further probe.
