Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu yet again stoked controversy by threatening a local man for questioning him as he campaigned for a by-election in the Nandyal constituency on Tuesday. The one minute video of Chandrababu intimidating the man has gone viral.

In the video Chandrababu was questioned by a local man over frequent power outages and the former was irked by this saying, "How dare you ask me in front of a huge gathering. I have come here as your CM. If you say that there is no power supply then you must be blind."

"Are you from YSR Congress party? If Jagan Mohan Reddy has sent you then go and attend his meeting. Don’t come to my meetings. Are you mad and drunk," he warns the local man. When the incident took place Allagadda MLA Akhila Priya was sitting next to him. The TDP announced Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy as its nominee for the Nandyal by-election. The YSRCP has a stronghold in the Nandyal Assembly constituency and it witnessed a vacuum after sitting legislator Bhuma Nagi Reddy died of a cardiac arrest in March. Nagi Reddy won on YSRCP ticket but later defected into TDP in February last year.

This is not the first time that Chandrababu got entangled in such controversy. Earlier too he told the people to vote for his party as they are enjoying benefits given by him

This is not the first time that Chandrababu got entangled in such controversy. Earlier too he told the people to vote for his party as they are enjoying benefits given by him. "You are taking the pension I am giving, using roads laid by me, taking rations that we give, benefiting from our schemes, then why should you not support us in elections?" he said at a public meeting.
