Chandrababu Misses Republic Day Celebrations

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has set yet another precedence in regards to participating in National Festivals which is first-of-its-kind in both the Telugu states. Chandrababu missed out in participating at the Republic Day celebrations that was held in Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada today.

Governor ESL Narasimham, after attending the Republic Day event in Hyderabad flew down to Vijayawada to attend the celebrations. Governor hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering in the stadium. AP was the last the conduct the event, which has come under severe criticism.

Where is Chandrababu?

But the point of contention has been the disappearance of Chandrababu Naidu in celebrations. The event that was attended by state ministers along with CM's wife Bhuvaneswari and his grandson Devansh. CM had been on Davos tour and according to his schedule he was to be in Vijayawada on Friday and participate in the Republic Day Celebrations.

Since the flight that Chandrababu has to travel was delayed due to bad weather, the CM had to stay back in Abu Dhabi. He will be reaching Vijayawada only at 4 pm today. CM has been accompanied by his son and minister Lokesh along with few important state officials. There has been no official announcement regarding CM's absence at the Republic Day celebrations.
