Uri Juggernaut Continues, Close To 200 Crores

The first big release of the year, Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike began the year on a patriotic note. The movie is creating history at the box office and has not just turned out to be Vicky Kaushal's biggest solo blockbuster but has even surpassed the box office records of his earlier film, Sanju.
Uri's third week collections - Rs 37 crore are higher than Sanju, which earned Rs 31 crore in its third week.
Based on the historical surgical strikes carried out by India in 2016, the movie garnered high positive reviews from critics and earned Rs 35.73 crore during its opening weekend.
Despite the new releases, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Thackeray, Uri: The Surgical Strike's dream run continues as the total collections has amounted to Rs 171 crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collections of the film on Twitter and even hinted towards the movie heading towards the Rs 200 crore club.
