Amaravati: YSR Congress Party National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member, V Vijayasai Reddy criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's desperate attempts to try and stall counting in Andhra Pradesh.

The Supreme Court and High Court of Andhra Pradesh dismissed his pleas seeking 100 per cent matching of Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) during counting of votes on May 23.

Reacting to this on Twitter, V Vijayasai Reddy said that despite the judiciary dismissing his pleas twice, Chandrababu’s attempt to file petitions again through people favourable to him proved to be unsuccessful.

The apex court had earlier dismissed a review plea filed by 21 Opposition leaders led by Chandrababu Naidu seeking that random matching of VVPAT slips with EVMs be increased to 50 per cent.

In another scathing remark, Vijayasai Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu would soon be an ‘ unemployed politician' after May 23. There was no one to give him work and the people around him were in an actual sense jobless as well, he derided. He also said that if he attempted to do something useful, people would praise such acts. But looking at him, these attempts to unite the Opposition leaders were only ways of inflating his own ego seeking self-assurance.
