Chandrababu Derailed Guntur Development: Modugula

Modugula Venugopala Reddy - Sakshi Post

Guntur: Hitting out at the ruling TDP government, YSRCP Lok Sabha candidate Modugula Venugopala Reddy said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is hindering development projects in the city.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Modugula alleged that Naidu in a span of five years has shuffled nine municipal commissioners, which has affected the work process.

He further alleged that Naidu did not let him celebrate 150 years of Guntur municipality celebrations as he was criticising the big projects moved by Naidu.

Training his guns at sitting MP Galla Jayadev, he criticized him for trying to make false allegations against the legislators for the delay in the underground drainage works.

He also called out Galla for expanding his industries in Chittoor while getting elected from Guntur, adding that he will expose Galla's misdeeds in the coming one week.

He questioned why Lokesh and Dokka Manikyavaraprasad were allowed to contest the assembly elections without quitting their membership of the legislative councils.

However, he alleged that Naidu had asked Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and Ramasubbareddy to quit their council membership to contest but did not ask Lokesh and Dokka.

He dared Jayadev to come for a debate on development with him and promised to get metro in Guntur and vowed to fight for Special Category Status for AP once elected as MP.
