TDP Seeks Ban On RGV’s Lakshmi’s NTR

New Delhi: Telugu Desam Party(TDP) has filed a complaint with Election Commission of India to halt the release of Ram Gopal Varma’s biopic, Lakshmi's NTR, based on events from actor turned politician late NT Rama Rao's life.
TDP worker Devi Chowdary demanded that this movie release has to be postponed till the first phase of elections is completed, citing the reason that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been portrayed in a bad light. He objected to the release of the movie and added that it might influence the voters.
Responding to this issue, director Ram Gopal Varma tweeted that no one can either stop him from revealing the truth or the release of the movie.
Those from TDP party complaining to Election commission to STOP release of #LakshmisNTR because it might show the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister @ncbn in bad light should realise that no one can in hell can STOP TRUTH https://t.co/6qLZnbGPfy — Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) March 12, 2019
