TDP-Congress Alliance To Be Finalised Next Week?

Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Raghuveera Reddy - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: Amid hype over the possibility of a coalition between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Congress in Andhra Pradesh, Pradesh Congress Committee President Raghuveera Reddy said that the party's national President Rahul Gandhi would take a final decision on the alliance by January 20. Addressing the media on Thursday, the senior leader said the party leadership was willing to take a decision on the alliance, manifesto and contestants before the election schedule is released. The high-command directed us to prepare for the upcoming polls, he said.

Raghuveera Reddy said no decision has been taken on the pre-poll alliance with the TDP at present. The AP Congress head was attending the meeting of PCC presidents of all States on Thursday. It may be recalled that the TDP-Congress alliance failed miserably in the recent Telangana Assembly polls while the Congress secured victories in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

"The Congress will move forward with an action plan on forming committees in State, district and booth levels. We will release a charge-sheet against the BJP and expose its irregularities," he said.
