Guntur: President of Andhra Pradesh unit of BJP, Kanna Laxmi Narayana fired a fresh salvo at Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu in letter with eight more questions. This is the nineteenth such set from the BJP leader. However, it is pertinent to note that Chandrababu has not responded to the earlier rounds of questions fired by the state BJP president. This time around Kanna posed the following questions:

Question no. 93: Can you say deny the fact that through your concessions to some industries, you are causing harm to the interests of Andhra Pradesh in the name of bringing investments to Andhra Pradesh? The concessions given by you to HCL are to the tune of Rs.2,223.9 crores which has come forward to invest Rs. 700 cr over 12 years. Interestingly, Kanna pointed out, the extent of land (49.86 acres) is worth Rs. 700 crore. His question further pointedly asked whether there were no kickbacks in this deal. Kanna questioned Chandrababu's economic wisdom in the deal. "Are you ready for a CBI probe into the matter?" he asked.

94. Is not true that the state high court has expressed its unhappiness at the entire affair of SEZ for farmers in Nellore district, with respect to land allotment and related issues? Is it not true that 1000 acres of the lands allotted belong to Kodandaramaswamy temple? Didn't the High Court bench of Chief Justice TB Radhakrishnan and Justice SV Bhat question the AP government on how the temple lands had been allotted without any compensation and how real estate business was being conducted on land assigned to an ammonia-urea plant? Is it not true that while land here was allotted at Rs. 13,000 an acre, it was sold at Rs. 50 lakhs an acre? Can you state that no kickbacks were received by you or your partymen in this entire matter?

95: Is it not a fact that thousands of crores of rupees have been misused with respect to the implementation of welfare schemes in your tenure due to your corrupt, incompetent rule? In fact, the Enforcement and Vigilance wing in its 791 reports stated that losses accruing from improper implementation of welfare schemes in your time amounted to Rs. 10,773 crore.

The BJP leader also referred to the widespread irregularities in the PDS scheme, especially with respect to rice. Kanna also shot off questions on reckless expenditure being made by the Chandrababu government and using government agencies like Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) for heavy borrowings with counter guarantees from the state government. All this was done with a clear design, he alleged. Kanna also accused the Chandrababu government of planning to leave the state in doldrums, questioning whether it was a fact that approximately Rs.11,000 crore was planned to borrowed. He asked Chandrababu Naidu whether he was prepared for a CBI probe in this, as well.

The BJP leader observed that Chandrababu's followers seemed to be a step ahead in corruption, as seen in the fudged records of farmers and others being ferried to Polavaram project site. He also referred to the fake thumb impressions of Dalits for 'compensation' given to them against their lands taken away from them for the Bhogapuram airport. Kanna also referred to the critical remarks passed by Justice S.N. Ramachandra Rao of the AP high court and ordering the TDP government to pay Rs. 28 lakhs to Dalits as was being done in the case of others. He also questioned Chandrababu Naidu on land scams in Visakhapatnam and the land scams in which the CM's son Lokesh was allegedly involved. Kanna asked Chandrababu whether he ws prepared for a CBI inquiry in this matter as well.
