Amaravati: YSR Congress Party intensified the fight for Special Category Status (SCS) to AP and this move clearly rattled Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the developments that are taking shape at the national level.

YSRCP made an announcement that they have decided to move a no-confidence motion against the BJP-led NDA government in the Lok Sabha on Friday, March 16 (tomorrow), and have started gathering support from different parties for their no-confidence motion. Having understood that these developments are likely to have a huge impact on TDP, the CM called for an emergency meeting with some ministers and senior leaders of TDP in his assembly chambers here today.

The primary issue of focus in the meeting was to draw up a strategy in the context of the no-confidence motion of YSRCP. It is learnt that meeting also discussed the central government's approach to the issue of SCS to AP and Jana Sena's attack on TDP. The leaders who participated in the meeting told Chandrababu Naidu that BJP appeared to be behind Pawan Kalyan’s outburst.

Meanwhile, YSRCP is demanding TDP to support the no-confidence motion and prove that it was also concerned about the welfare of the state.
